Hours: Full-time (5 days per week)

Purpose of the position

We’re looking for an all-round digital design and content production super-star who can design, create engaging content, capture and edit video, take amazing photos and manage social media channels. The position requires strong design and video editing skills, as well as the ability to write, edit and post content across all digital channels.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong design skills and advanced working knowledge of the Adobe design suite – particularly InDesign, Photograph and Final Cut Pro
• A love and an eye for digital design across web, email and social channels
• Strong experience in shooting photography and video
• Strong skills in video and photography editing software
• Experience in developing, creating and deploying content across all digital outlets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good editorial judgement
• Experience in managing the social media accounts and website of an organisation.
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Ability to identify new social media trends and be up to date with the latest in best social media practice
• Experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
• Experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other analytics tools
• Experience with Content Management Systems
• Knowledge of industry best-practices, including content delivery standards and usability
• Ability to work as a part of a team
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities & duties

▌Responsibility 1 – Digital Design

• Design of all web-based collateral including:
o Websites
o Apps
o E-books
o Content for social posts
o Infographics
o Animations
o GIFs
o Digital advertising / animated and static banner ads

▌Responsibility 2 – Videography

• General videography work including:
o Filming and editing Innovate campaigns
o Editing short hype reels of client campaigns
o Creating video content for social media
o Assistance with digital campaign testing
o Creating short video content and GIFS for social media
o Filming and editing internal corporate videos

▌Responsibility 3 – Digital Content Production

• Develop, create and deploy content across all digital outlets
• Write, edit and proofread a variety of content types for the website, ensuring it meets style, tone and marketing message requirements, as well as reflecting the JCDecaux brand
• Good editorial judgement
• Own projects end-to-end as assigned and overseen by manager
• Search Engine Optimisation
• Regularly utilise Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other analytics tools to generate monthly reports
• Updating images and text on website
• Ensure industry best-practices are adhered to, including content delivery standards and usability

▌Responsibility 4 – Social Media Management

• Create engaging text, image and video content
• Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
• Managing multiple social media channels
• Ensure social media accounts are regularly updated and monitored

▌Responsibility 5 – Photography of Advertising Assets and Innovate campaigns

• Responsible for occasional special request photography: including documenting Citylights, Digital Citylights, Large Format Digital and Station Dominations.
• Documentation of Innovate, sampling and experiential campaigns for distribution with media releases and on digital channels as needed
• Editing, colour correcting, processing, sizing images for upload onto JCDecaux website
• Panoramas of advertising assets and streetscapes
• Occasional lifestyle photography for marketing campaigns featuring:
o CBD streetscapes
o Audience / commuter shots
o Assets
o Transit environments

Please note that access to own car is preferable
– Work related mileage and parking claimable

▌Responsibility 6 – Administration Assistance

• Assisting with general filing, invoicing and payments
• Image naming and filing
• Updating images and content on the JCDecaux website
• Processing council permits and station photographic documentation permissions and paperwork
• Distributing and processing photo and video consent forms

Required Academic & trades qualifications

Design, Photography, Video / Multi-media studies

Required software knowledge
Adobe Creative Suite
Video editing software
Microsoft Office
Website backend management
Social media platforms including Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and SnapChat

Desired software knowledge (not essential)
CAD / 3D modelling / animation

Relationships | With Purpose

1. Digital Strategy and Brand Manager
This position will be managed by the Digital Strategy and Brand Manager

2. Chief Marketing Officer
Will report on some projects back to the Chief Marketing Officer

3. Sales Staff
Collaborate with sales staff on special request photography and videography requirements

4. External Clients, Suppliers and Stakeholders
Engage with all external people associated with JCDecaux contracts and suppliers
