Applications are invited for an Associate Professor (Level D) position in Civil (Structural) Engineering within the School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics.
The School offers a diverse range of innovative professional degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a dynamic yet relevant mix of disciplines in computing, information technology, engineering, construction and industrial design.
The successful applicant is expected to be involved in a broad spectrum of academic activities, ranging from development and delivery of innovative interdisciplinary academic programs with core Civil Engineering subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to leading student projects for world competitions.
The appointee is expected to lead and supervise the research of undergraduate and postgraduate students in projects, which address recognised grand challenges with high impact. To achieve these, the person in this position is anticipated to be able to form strategic interdisciplinary teams with staff and students, and collaborations with external partners where needed, and to have the ability to identify funding opportunities to sustain such projects and bring them to tangible success.

Remuneration Package: Associate Professor Level D $168,168 to $184,705 p.a. (comprising salary $142,491 to $156,625 p.a. plus 17% superannuation plus leave loading)
